About me
About me
I’m Alistair, and I’d like to introduce myself.
I’m half French, half British, and I’ve lived in France, the UK, and the US—spending 14 years in America before returning to the South of France.
Since childhood, I’ve been an entrepreneur, inventor, and creative—building karts and treehouses, selling (yes, cliché!) lemonade, and always chasing the next big idea.
From Corporate to Startup Life
I always dreamed of the United States, and when I finally got there, I built two companies after a successful career in corporate process improvement. My knack for working smart, not just hard, led me to roles optimizing and automating operations—first at the departmental level, then across entire organizations.
I developed my first automation software while working for a major company, which earned me an H-1B visa—the sought-after US work visa for top global talent. That moment confirmed I was on the right path.
From Scaling Startups to Enabling Outstanding Results
Inspired by the startup ecosystem, I wrote an eBook and launched a podcast, Startups to Millions—a name that had a double meaning:
1️⃣ Helping millions of people adopt startup methodologies.
2️⃣ Guiding startups on their journey to millions in revenue.
That visibility led to funding, and I co-founded Innouvo, a venture studio helping high-tech, scientific, and deep-tech startups scale into the US and global markets.
One of my favorite memories? Closing my first term sheet in the Nevada desert, with the wind howling through my tiny hotel in Death Valley. My second? Celebrating another deal at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. If you’d told my younger self this, I wouldn’t have believed you!
Over the years, I’ve helped 71+ companies:
✅ Scale revenue, pivot, and survive market shifts.
✅ Automate and digitalize operations.
✅ Close deals with large corporations and investors.
I later co-founded AI Lean, which disrupted the self-storage industry with automation, selling to thousands of customers across nearly all US states. We built an incredible team, raised funding, and scaled revenue—until this company could run without me, freeing me to pursue my next chapter.
What Drives Me Today
I value creative thinking, modernity, and above all, entrepreneurship. I continue to be excited of the idea of creating other businesses…Helping entrepreneurs!
After years in the trenches, I started noticing patterns and emerging needs—and that led me to my current focus:
🚀 Automation – Leveraging AI and process efficiency to scale businesses.
🌍 Global Resource Optimization – Tackling the world’s biggest challenges in minerals, energy, human capital, and technology.
🕶 XR & Immersive Tech – Having followed XR for over a decade, I see a major inflection point—and I’m all in.
Helping XR Innovators Shape the Future
Today, I dedicate most of my time helping teams in XR scale their impact in heavy industries—energy, mining, construction, and beyond. I share real-world insights from my experiences—some of which you’ll find on my blog.
In addition, despite my mind that could be seen as geared towards the future and technology, I love the past, traditions, nature. I also help farmers and winemakers increase their digital footprint so that they can promote and bring to more the goodness of life: Natural, bio products. Here again, I leverage my experiences of automation, technology and ai to help these heroes of the modern world, shine and delight us with produce good for the mind and the soul.
This isn’t just work—it’s a passion. I love what I do, and I love helping others. This is the mindset I put in any engagements of mine, any products I develop or company I imagine.
I’m deeply grateful for the mentors, colleagues, clients, and partners who have shaped my journey. Let’s build the future together.
Am I All About Work? Ugh.
Definitely not. Having balance—as much as possible—is key.
Because my work keeps me glued to a phone, laptop, or inside a VR headset, I make it a priority to step outside, disconnect, and experience the real world.
I spend time with family, my brother, or just myself—on my bike, hiking, or swimming at the beach. I love discovering new places, both in Europe and beyond.
Some destinations still on my bucket list:
Morocco – Exploring the markets and sleeping in the desert.
Spain – So close, yet so much more to see.
Northern Finland – For the untouched landscapes and maybe the Northern Lights.
A Mediterranean cruise – Because why not?
And yes, all of this costs money and takes time—which is exactly why I believe in tech and wake up early, keep pushing forward, and stay focused on growth. It’s not just about building businesses; it’s about building a life worth living.
